Cancellation & Refund Policy

This policy applies to all bookings made through Goja (gojatravel.com). By completing a booking, you agree to these terms.
How Payment Works on Goja (Important Context)
Goja does not charge you anything when you book. You pay the rental fee and security deposit directly to the shop, in cash or via PromptPay, when you pick up the vehicle. Goja does not hold your money at any point during this process.
This means cancellation on Goja today has no financial penalty charged by Goja — but please read below, as shops do rely on your booking to hold the vehicle for you.
1. Cancelling Your Booking
You can cancel anytime before pick-up at no cost, directly through My Bookings on the Goja website, or by contacting us via WhatsApp/LINE with your Booking ID.
We ask that you cancel at least 48 hours before your scheduled pick-up time whenever possible. This isn't a charge — it's a courtesy that helps the shop offer your reserved vehicle to another customer instead of holding it for someone who won't arrive.
2. Repeated Late Cancellations or No-Shows
Goja does not currently charge a cancellation fee. However, if you cancel with very short notice or do not show up for pick-up (“No-Show”) on multiple occasions, we may limit your ability to book through Goja in the future, to protect our partner shops from repeated lost reservations.
3. If the Shop Cancels Your Booking
In the rare case that a partner shop needs to cancel your confirmed booking (for example, due to a mechanical issue or unavailability), we will:
- Confirm with you that no payment was taken, and
- Help you find a replacement vehicle from another partner shop in the same area, at no extra cost, where available.
We'll notify you as soon as possible if this happens and work with you directly to sort out a replacement.
4. Security Deposit (Paid at the Shop)
When you pick up your vehicle, the shop will collect a refundable security deposit to cover damage beyond normal wear and tear. Depending on the shop, this will be either:
- Cash (typically ฿3,000–5,000, amount shown on your booking), or
- Your original passport, held by the shop until you return the vehicle.
The accepted deposit type(s) for your specific vehicle are shown on the booking page before you confirm. This deposit is paid to and refunded by the shop directly, not Goja, and is returned to you when you return the vehicle in good condition.
5. Changes to Your Booking
Need to change your dates, vehicle, or pick-up time instead of cancelling? Contact us via WhatsApp or LINE with your Booking ID and we'll do our best to accommodate the change, subject to availability.

Online Deposit for Card Payments
Goja is introducing an optional online payment method for international cardholders (Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay). When this launches, customers who choose this option will:
- Pay a 15% booking deposit online at the time of booking, with the remaining balance paid in cash at the shop on pick-up.
Once this option is live, its cancellation terms will be:
